4.1.1.p.2. Procedure: Southeastern Technical College Faculty, Administrator, and Staff Qualifications

Faculty Qualification Guidelines:
Southeastern Technical College employs competent faculty members qualified to accomplish the mission and goals of the College. Southeastern Technical College defines acceptable qualifications of its faculty members in the Faculty Credentials Review Manual.

A Roster of Instructional Staff is generated and maintained by the Vice President for Institutional Effectiveness and the Academic Affairs Division. A Qualifications Summary is generated and maintained on every full-time faculty by the Vice President for Institutional Effectiveness.

Administrator and Staff Qualifications:
Southeastern Technical College employs qualified administrators and staff with experience and demonstrated competencies appropriate to their areas of responsibility. The College refers to staff minimum qualifications recommended by the Technical College System of Georgia Job Descriptions. Administrators and staff hired prior to 2004 meet minimum qualifications as published in the State Board of the Technical College System of Georgia Terms and Conditions of Employment Manual. A Qualifications Summary is generated and maintained on every full-time administrator and staff member by the Vice President for Institutional Effectiveness.

Responsibility:
The Vice President for Academic Affairs has the responsibility for ensuring this policy is implemented for credit faculty. The Vice President for Economic Development has the responsibility for ensuring this policy is implemented for non-credit faculty. The Executive Director of Adult Education has the responsibility for ensuring this policy is implemented for non-credit Adult Education faculty. The supervising Vice President has the responsibility for ensuring this policy is implemented for administrators and staff. The President is ultimately responsible for ensuring this policy is implemented.
