2.4.1. Procedure: Southeastern Technical College Local Board Responsibilities and Authority

The State Board of the Technical College System of Georgia is the legally constituted governing board of Southeastern Technical College.

The State Board of the Technical College System of Georgia has, by authority of State Law O.C.G.A. 20-4-11, established the Board of Directors of Southeastern Technical College and has delegated certain authority and responsibility to the local board.

The Local Board of Directors for Southeastern Technical College was established July 1, 2009. The 12 member board is representative of the College's service area with 1 member from Candler County, 2 members from Emanuel County, 1 member from Jenkins County, 1 member from Johnson County, 1 member from Montgomery County, 2 members from Tattnall County, 3 members from Toombs County, and 1 member from Treutlen County. The members are appointed by the State Board of the Technical College System of Georgia.

The Local Board of Directors meets a minimum of eight times each year. Regular meetings are held on the fourth Thursday of the month.
