Books, Tools, Uniforms and Equipment

Every student is required to have books, tools, uniforms, and other supplies appropriate to the program of study. In some instances, these items will be usable in the student's employment following graduation. All required books, and many of the student's other needs may be purchased from the College's bookstore.

Bookstore

The bookstore is located in the main administration building in Vidalia and in Building 2 in Swainsboro. Hours are scheduled to accommodate day and evening students. These hours are posted on the website and in the STC Daily Report.

Books are available for sale along with a variety of supplies needed by students. A purchase may be made using cash, check, financial aid, or credit card. Financial aid can only be used to purchase books and supplies during financial aid period, which is posted on the website and throughout campus.

Refunds of Books and Supplies

No refund shall be made for expendable supplies and equipment (i.e., cosmetology kits, tools, uniforms, etc.). Refunds shall be made for books that are returned in new, resalable condition with no marks, no writing, unsoiled, and accompanied by a receipt. The refund policy shall be published in the STC Catalog and Student Handbook.

Book Refund

Refund requests for books and supplies must be made within three business days from date of purchase.

Amount Refunded

Students will receive a 100% refund on books returned with proof of purchase and in new resalable condition. No refund on books that have been written in. Books which were in shrinkwrap at the time of purchase must be in shrinkwrap when returned. Otherwise, a $10 shrinkwrap fee will be subtracted from the refund amount.
